The GRACIOUS Framework is reaching a more advanced state

After an extensive first round of stakeholder consultation activities, the GRACIOUS Framework has been modified in December 2018. Stakeholder feedback has been successfully addressed in this version and a scientific publication describing it is currently under preparation.

The advanced Framework has been presented at the Mexico - European Union Workshop in Nanosafety, held in Ensenada this January.

The GRACIOUS Framework aims to support the practical application of grouping of nanomaterials and nanoforms for risk assessment and decision making. This includes the ability to read across from data-rich substances to similar nanomaterials for which information is lacking. The Framework description will be used to build a practical open-access Framework for grouping and read-across that will be available in 2021.
